One of man's most deeply rooted certainties is that water is a source of life.

 

The Eastern peoples and the Romans knew this well in distant times, for whom the SPA (salus per aquam, or health through water) was an integral part of daily life.

Thus was born "The Vaults", the SPA of Villa Antica Colonia, an oasis of relaxation resulting from the vision of the family Martinazzi oriented towards the well-being of its guests while maintaining the architectural tradition of the structure. Even this room, located on the semi-basement floor, like every detail of the villa, tells a piece of the life of this historic residence: in distant times, a large tub in the center of the room served as a wash house, the ancestor of the one that today we would define as the laundry. The vaulted ceiling represents the great charm of the room, a peculiar testimony of the era that has captured its charm to make it perceptible.

The heart of "The Vaults" is animated and heated by a splendid wood-burning fireplace, which dominates the environment creating an atmosphere of unique and total intimacy for the couple.
